Applications
Metabrowser

If you use an HTPC app like Windows Media Center, there are a lot of third party apps out there that will help you scrape all of the metadata for your video files from the web. I use two myself which are built into My Movies and myTV. Again, if you’re using MCE I can highly recommend both of these apps.
If you’re not, getting proper metadata for your files can be tricky but theHTPC.net has come to your rescue. Metabrowser is currently being tested and while it’s not available for general release yet, it looks promising.
From the post:
This is terrific stuff. TV metadata is not yet available, but is on the plate once the movie portion is released and free of bugs. The copy I have is still not finished, but other than one small error that affects nothing, it works absolutely perfectly. The guy has skills. As much as Salami’s Movie Organizer has done for me, I have to say that all good things come to an end. SMO’s end is meta<browser />.
While an official release might be a ways off, this looks like it might be getting a lot easier to edit your metadata. Always an issue for media junkies!
